New Integrated Technology Hub: A first in Australia
Our new, ultra-modern Integrated Technology Hub provides collaborative learning spaces for the building services and electro-mechanical technologies industries. Built at a cost of $41M, it’s the first of its kind in Australia, and offers our students the latest training to prepare them for the air conditioning, refrigeration, mechanical, plumbing and electrical technologies industries.

Box Hill Studio
Box Hill Institute’s fully equipped professional photographic and TV studio is available for hire! Our studio is designed for television production, commercials, corporate projects and photography.
The Biosecurity Centre of Excellence is a collaboration between Box Hill Institute, Deakin University, the William Angliss Institute and industry. The centre delivers industry-led research to address the biosecurity challenges facing Australia’s food, farming agriculture, and animal health industries, and Australia’s unique environmental-biosecurity needs.
Flowers on Elgar
Our flower shop is run by student and under the supervision of our qualified and experienced florist in charge. Here, students interact with customers from the general public and get valuable client feedback on their work.
The Lilydale Lakeside Children’s Centre is operated by the Box Hill Institute, a not-for-profit organisation established to provide education and support to communities and industries.
Lilydale Lakeside Conferencing Facilities are set on the doorstep of the scenic Yarra Valley and cater for a wide selection of events and functions. There is a variety of rooms to choose from, with facilities dedicated to meet your conferencing needs. Whether it is a meeting for 10 or a conference for 200, we can arrange our rooms to make certain your meeting, conference or event is a standout success.
Located 50 minutes from Melbourne, the Lilydale Lakeside conferencing facilities create a unique event experience, nestled amongst the lavish grounds of the lakeside precinct where students and community come together. Our convenient location provides public transport options right to the door and to the views of the valley and beyond.
Pets on Elgar: Veterinary training centre
In our veterinary clinic Students have the opportunity to interact with pet owners and animals under the direction of experienced veterinarians and supervision of veterinary nurses & pet groomers.
The Aveda Day Spa at Box Hill Institute is the only Aveda training centre in the southern hemisphere. It provides Aveda Spa services and products to the public.
As a student, you get to use the latest spa treatment equipment, and experience what it is like to work in a world-class day spa. Aveda holds a world-class reputation for using organic and sustainable products.
The Nursing Skills Centre of Excellence provides hands-on training in a realistic hospital setting. Designed in consultation with nurses, it includes wards, operating theatres, and recovery rooms where our students experience what it’s like to work in a hospital. Many health services send staff here to learn and refresh both basic and advanced skills – evidence of the quality training this excellent facility provides.
