Making the Most of Box Hill Institute’s Open Day

On Open Day, we invite you, your friends and family to visit our campus and find out more about our courses, teachers, facilities and students.

It’s a chance for you to ask questions, look around and find out more about the opportunities we offer, including student enrolment information, student support services, and study abroad opportunities.

To get the most out of your Open Day experience, remember these three important activities:

  1. Plan your day ahead of time
  2. Talk to people and ask lots of questions
  3. Check out our facilities

Plan Your Day Ahead of Time

We have plenty of activities planned to make your Open Day experience a memorable one. Check out the sessions available at Lilydale and Box Hill and select those that interest you. Once you have completed this, you can have your customised program emailed to you.

Talk to People and Ask Lots of Questions

This is your chance to ask all those questions you’ve been thinking about and even some of those might crop up on the day. For example:

  • Are there any entry requirements?
  • How is the course assessed?
  • Am I expected to buy any materials or equipment?
  • How many hours of classes are there each week?
  • Are there any opportunities for placements or internships?
  • Are there scholarships you can apply for?
  • What careers do graduates from this course go into?
  • What links does the course have with employers?
  • How successful are graduates from this course in obtaining employment?
  • Are study abroad opportunities available as part of the course?
  • What social activities, clubs and societies are available?
