Before students enrol or enter into a contract, BHIG will provide current, accurate and comprehensive information about the training, assessment and support services it provides; fees and charges and statement of fees; subcontract/broker arrangements; BHIG responsibilities and obligations; as well as student rights and obligations.
BHIG will ensure such information is readily accessible to students and is available in alternative formats.
To assist prospective students to determine whether a course is suitable and appropriate for their individual needs, BHIG will assesses all prospective students’ Language, Literacy and Numeracy and digital literacy prior to enrolment.
Individual Teaching Faculties may provide a Handbook to students to ensure awareness of local information and instructions such as staff contact details, class times, term dates etc.
Teaching Faculties may also provide orientation programs for students in their Faculty.
At the course level, students are advised of any course specific requirements e.g. attendance, safety, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and specialist class room conduct requirements.

Prerequisites, Entry Requirements & Supplementary Application Form
Prerequisites vary depending on the course. The Degree and Associate Degree courses require satisfactory completion of specific VCE subjects, depending on the course. Some courses require you to be employed and others may require you to attend an interview or present a folio of work. Find out more here.
Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)
RPL (Recognition of Prior Learning) is a form of assessment that recognises skills and knowledge gained through formal training or work/life experience. Find out more here.

Teachers will be available for enquiries about learning and assessment by telephone and email Monday to Friday for the duration of your course/module. Each individual will receive a Unit/Cluster Plan at the beginning of unit commencement. Your Unit/Cluster Plan will have details of the teachers and instructions on how to contact them for the duration of your course.
