<p><span>Our CBD campus is co-located with the Centre for Adult Education in the heart of Melbourne&rsquo;s Central Business District. </span></p>

<p>Our Lakeside Lilydale campus serves the local community as an active learning centre with a range of vocational and higher education courses. The campus is also home to the <strong>Yarra Ranges Tech School</strong>.</p>

<h2><strong>Amrita</strong></h2>
<p style="font-size: 120%;">The structure of learning in a traditional VCE setting is not right for some students. That was certainly the case for Amrita.&nbsp;</p>
<p style="font-size: 120%;">&ldquo;I was just not connected. I felt it at the start of year 11,&rdquo; Amrita said.&nbsp;</p>
<p style="font-size: 120%;">&ldquo;I thought I was just going to fail and drop out of school. I was really depressed, and I just didn&rsquo;t know where I was going.&rdquo;&nbsp;</p>
<p style="font-size: 120%;">Amrita and her parents looked for alternatives. Thankfully, they found Box Hill Institute&rsquo;s VCE program.&nbsp;</p>
<p style="font-size: 120%;">Based at Box Hill Institute&rsquo;s City campus, the program is designed to help students like Amrita learn at their own pace and in their own way.</p>
<p style="font-size: 140%; color: #07adf0;"><strong><em>&ldquo;It just suits me so much more. I can arrange my subjects through the week at a time that suits me, and my teachers are incredibly supportive,&rdquo; Amrita said.</em></strong></p>
<p style="font-size: 120%;">The flexible workload allows Amrita to continue her job at her local cafe and also allows her time for the other things in her life.&nbsp;</p>
<p style="font-size: 120%;">&ldquo;It really feels like this is preparing me for further study after VCE. Now, I&rsquo;m starting to think about what I want to do after I graduate.&rdquo;</p>
