Ageing & Disability
Our Individual Support course will teach you the skills and knowledge required to work as a Personal Care Attendant (PCA) in residential aged care facilities or within the community.
As a PCA you will follow an individualised plan to provide person-centred support to people who may require support due to ageing. You will work as part of a team, to assist in the delivery of aged care services in residential care or to clients in their homes.
The role of a PCA includes:
• Assisting clients with showering, dressing and grooming
• Arranging and supervising activities designed to enhance physical, social and emotional wellbeing.
• Assisting in household or centre based duties such as tidying, house cleaning and hygiene.
