This extractives course is specifically designed for supervisors and operational managers within the extractive industry, normally with direct reporting accountabilities to senior management within the organisation. The course reflects the role of personnel working in a quarry or other extractive industries operations that perform tasks that are broad, specialised, complex and technical and include strategic areas and initiating activities. This course is targeted towards those who are responsible for the establishment of the site management systems, plans and policies and are required to demonstrate self-directed application of theoretical and technical knowledge and initiate solutions to technical problems or management requirements.

This is an online course which will include a combination of online and remote delivery. Remote learning can involve a range of online programs and resources including StudentWeb, Microsoft Teams, Cisco Webex, Skype, specific industry platforms, pre-recorded sessions, assigned reading, tutorials, discussion boards, and online activities. Remote delivery involves scheduled classes where you will log in with other classmates to complete tutorials and assessments.
