About the course

This course, delivered by our award winning team, will help you to develop employment ready skills and behaviours so that you can enter the work force with confidence. 

Our expert teachers will support your individual learning needs in a small class environment to encourage your success. You will enjoy taking part in a variety of vocational activities as you explore new possibilities and experiences in areas such as hospitality, animals, and visual arts.

Your independence will grow as you continue to develop communication, teamwork, personal management, problem solving and decision making skills.  You will practice these skills on the job when you go on work placements in industries that interest you. You may also consider further pathway study options to achieve your goals.  We will prepare you to take your next steps to a bright future and make new friends along the way!

This course will cover:

  • workplace health and safety
  • exposure to different vocations
  • the job seeking process
  • use of technology
  • setting work related goals
  • developing a personal vocational plan
  • self development for workplace participation

This course is designed to suit the learning needs of students living with intellectual disability or cognitive impairment.
