You must:

  • be at least 17 years of age (or be a mature-age applicant)
  • have successfully completed Year 10 or equivalent
  • have a basic level of literacy and numeracy

Successful completion will enable you to enrol in our Certificate III in Hairdressing, Diploma of Salon Management, or apply for work as a barber in any industry environment, usually a barbershop or salon

This course is government accredited and has national recognition

The qualification is aligned with the Australian Qualification Framework (AQF) level 3

After successful completion, you may wish to apply for a range of employment opportunities including working as a:

  • barber in a barbershop
  • men’s stylist/barber in a hairdressing salon

26 units must be completed (including 21 core and 5 electives)
