Our beauty course will provide you with hands on learning in a variety of beauty techniques so you can work in a salon as a beautician.

In this beauty course, you’ll learn beauty techniques such as waxing, manicures and pedicures, make-up, ear piercing, nail enhancements, cosmetic tanning and tinting services. Along with these practical skills, understand the science of skin and nails. Plus, hone your skills in communication and retail techniques necessary for a successful career in beauty.

During our beauty course, put your practical skills to the test with real world experience in our simulated work environment.

You must:

  • be 17 years, or mature age
  • have successfully completed Year 11
  • have sufficient literacy, numeracy and visual interpretation skills to successfully complete the course
  • possess excellent people skills

Successful completion will enable you to apply for our Certificate IV in Beauty Therapy or the Diploma of Beauty Therapy specialisation streams in spa therapies and permanent hair removal. You may receive credit for your previous study.

This course is government accredited and has national recognition

The qualification is aligned with the Australian Qualification Framework (AQF) level 3

This course may lead to work in beauty salons and hairdressing salons that provide beauty services.

You must complete 15 units (including 11 core and 4 electives).
