Deakin University has partnered with Box Hill Institute to offer you a streamlined and accelerated path to obtaining the Certificate IV in Fitness (SIS40221). This qualification is tailored to Deakin University students who are in their second or third year of the Bachelor of Exercise and Sport Science. It will give you a direct route to a career as a fitness professional and will complement your study towards the bachelor.
Upon completion of the program, you’ll be qualified to work as personal trainer in fitness facilities while you continue studying towards the bachelor.
Leverage the knowledge from your bachelor's program to enhance your coaching skills and learn to apply them in practical settings with real clients.
Through Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) and targeted gap training and assessment, the specially designed program will help address the missing practical skills between the Bachelor of Exercise and Sport Science and a Certificate IV in Fitness (SIS40221).
While your Bachelor of Exercise and Sport Science provides an excellent theoretical foundation, the Certificate IV in Fitness (SIS40221) offers extensive hands-on experience. Those who have completed both qualifications testify to how their skills, knowledge, and experience were significantly enhanced.
If you are a Deakin University student who has completed your first full year of the Bachelor of Exercise and Sport Science and is currently working towards completing your second or third year, you are eligible to apply for this course.
