In our horticulture course, you will get hands on practical learning experiences so you can master the art of operating chainsaws, identifying plants and demonstrating high level nursery skills. Your other important horticultural study areas will include machinery operation, propagation and best practice soil management.

Our Certificate III Horticulture course has significant practical components, with a focus on giving you the necessary skills and knowledge to create a successful pathway to employment.

To be eligible, you must possess the basic communication skills and a physical ability to perform practical work placement in the horticulture industry.

PRE-TRAINING REVIEW

To assist prospective students to determine whether a course is suitable and appropriate for the individual needs the Institute and CAE will assess all students’ language, literacy and numeracy and digital literacy by asking you to undertake a self-assessment review prior to the enrolment.

A course advisor will discuss the outcomes of the review and make recommendations about whether the course is suitable for you, and identify additional support where required.

Successful completion will enable you to apply for the Diploma of Horticulture and Diploma of Conservation Land Management.

Recognition of Prior Learning is available.

This course is government accredited and has national recognition

The qualification is aligned with the Australian Qualification Framework (AQF) level 3

After successful completion, you may wish to apply for a range of employment opportunities including horticulturalist and gardener.
