If you have a genuine interest in caring for older people, and or those with disabilities, then our course in individual support will help you gain essential, person-centred skills and knowledge to care for and support people who are aged or living with a disability.

In this health course, you’ll learn how to provide physical and psycho-social support for people requiring support, including how to:

  • support people who may be living with dementia and/or other illnesses or disabilities
  • prevent falls
  • support independence and well-being
  • develop communication skills in health and community services
  • work in residential care settings

You’ll understand how to comply with the accreditation requirements in the care sector, and you’ll be ready to deliver outstanding customer service and support to vulnerable people.

In studying this course, you will also have the opportunity to undertake work placement with leading industry care providers.
