Located 14 kilometres east of Melbourne City, the Elgar campus can be found on Elgar Rd in Box Hill.

Located 14 kilometres east of Melbourne City, the Nelson campus is the second location in Box Hill situated on Whitehorse Road.

Located 15 kilometres east of Melbourne City, the Whitehorse campus can be found on Whitehorse Road in Box Hill.

Our CBD campus, which houses the Centre for Adult Education, is situated in the heart of Melbourne&rsquo;s Central Business District.

Our Lakeside Lilydale campus serves the local community as an active learning centre with a range of vocational and higher education courses. The campus is also home to the Yarra Ranges Tech School.

Box Hill Institute are a leading Victorian provider of TAFE courses, vocational training and international degrees in Melbourne CBD, Box Hill and Lilydale.

The Box Hill Campus &ndash; Elgar has been part of the fibre of Box Hill for nearly 100 years. It consists of eight purpose made buildings, including an <a href="/facilities/automotive/">automotive workshop</a>, carpentry workshop, an integrated technical hub, a nursing ward and sophisticated computer labs. It also has customer facing businesses where students can work providing <a href="/about-us/services/">services</a> to the public. These include a <a href="/facilities/hair-beauty-salon/">hair and beauty salon</a>, <a href="/facilities/flowers-on-elgar/">a floristry,</a> <a href="/facilities/fountains-restaurant/">Fountains restaurant,</a> and a <a href="/facilities/pets-on-elgar/">veterinary clinic</a>.

Short-term parking (15 minutes) is available at Boomgate P1 on Elgar Road. Two-hour parking is available along Victoria Crescent, Kingsley Crescent and Whitehorse Road. There is also parking at 450 Elgar Road (corner of Whitehorse Road &ndash; left turn entry and exit only), which costs $2.50 per hour for up to 4 hours or a maximum of $9 per day (credit card only). Secure Parking also operates a carpark on the corner of Elgar and Whitehorse Road. Standard rates apply. Fountains Restaurant has a car park for patrons, which is accessed via Boomgate P7 on Victoria Crescent. When making a reservation, please ask for allocated car parking.

Security is on site 7am to midnight, Monday to Friday, and 7am to 5pm on Saturday.

<h2>Breastfeeding Mothers</h2>
If you are a breastfeeding mother or need to express milk during your time on campus, there is a room allocated at each location for this purpose. Contact Student Life on (03) 9286 9891 or drop by Building E3, on the ground floor, room 56) to register your name and student ID. They will supply a swipe pass to the room, although you will need to allow 24-48 hours for the pass to be activated. The breastfeeding room contains a small special purpose fridge for storing expressed milk. It is solely for expressed milk however security of any stored milk is the parents responsibility and any milk stored must be clearly labelled.

There is a prayer room at each campus. Students are welcome to use the room for prayer, mediation or quiet contemplation.

<h2>We're Smoke-Free</h2>
All of our campuses are smoke-free. No one is permitted to smoke anywhere on campus &ndash; indoors or outdoors.

Box Hill Institute provides a unique education environment ideal for business, government, educational and community groups. Our facilities are available to hire in Melbourne CBD, Box Hill and Lilydale for training and meetings.

Breanna had spent her twenties working in the beauty therapy industry when she realised it wasn&rsquo;t the right career path for her. &ldquo;I have always wanted to do a trade but never had the guts to do it. I bit the bullet and did a plumbing pre-apprenticeship and loved it from day one.&rdquo;
Breanna&rsquo;s outstanding work was recognised when she was nominated for Apprentice of the Year at the Victorian Training Awards in August 2018. Box Hill Institute is very proud of Breanna&rsquo;s achievements and her goals. In the future, Breanna wants to run her own plumbing business while she continues to encourage more women to work in trades.
