Model your career as a make up professional with our make up course, which equips you with the skills and knowledge required to succeed as a make up artist.
During our make up course you'll learn how to design and apply make up, style hair for special occasions, airbrush make up, photography and apply remedial camouflage across the beauty, fashion, media and entertainment industries.
As a make up artist you’ll typically work as part of a team or as a freelance artist in settings such as make up studios, retail cosmetic counters, fashion, media sets and photography studios.

After successful completion of our make up course you can apply for positions at photography & make up studios, salons and retail cosmetic counters, or chose to work as a freelancer
To assist prospective students to determine whether a course is suitable and appropriate for the individual needs, Box Hill Institute will assess all students’ language, literacy and numeracy and digital literacy by asking you to undertake a self-assessment review prior to the enrolment.
A course advisor will discuss the outcomes of the review and make recommendations about whether the course is suitable for you, and identify additional support where required.
Recognition of Prior Learning is available.
Successful completion of our make up course will enable you to apply for our Diploma of Screen and Media (Specialising in Make up Services) course or Diploma of Beauty Therapy course. You may be eligible for credit from previous study.

The qualification is aligned with the Australian Qualification Framework (AQF) level 3
