Prepare yourself to be job ready for an accounting role in the financial services sector and other industries that require accounting support functions.
In this flexible, self paced accounting course, you’ll learn how to prepare financial reports, design and produce business documents and process financial transactions. As part of your studies, you will set up and operate a computerised accounting system and carry out business and instalment activity statement tasks. You will also learn how to make decisions in a legal context and apply the principles of professional practice to work in financial services.

Flexible - the time taken to complete this course will vary depending on the individual input. Students should aim to complete within approx 12 months.
You must have at least one of the following:
- successfully completed Year 12 or
- experience working in support roles without formal qualifications
After successful completion, you may wish to apply for entry into the Diploma of Accounting.
This course is government accredited and has national recognition
The qualification is aligned with the Australian Qualification Framework (AQF) level 4
You will gain practical skills for accounting roles with duties such as completing Business Activity Statements (BAS) and other office taxes, operational reporting, producing non-complex management reports, compiling data for job costing reports, supervising the operation of computer-based financial systems, classifying recording and reporting accounting information, maintaining inventory records, managing a small office and ensuring relevant legal requirements are followed.
