With fitness and business units, you’ll be ready for a variety of work in a gym, fitness administration or as a personal trainer. You may also deliver exercise programs at community venues, work with challenging clients or help medical professionals with patient rehabilitation.
If you’re prepared to work hard and perform well, you may even find yourself with a job offer before you’ve completed your course.
After successful completion, you'll be eligible to apply for registration with key industry bodies including Physical Activity Australia and AUSactive.

You must be at least 18 years of age.
To commence this course, you must have completed the following units from the Certificate III in Fitness. Intakes for the Certificate III are in February and July.
PRE-TRAINING REVIEW - to assist prospective students to determine whether a course is suitable and appropriate for the individual needs, Box Hill Institute will assess all students’ language, literacy and numeracy and digital literacy by asking you to undertake a self-assessment review prior to the enrolment. A course advisor will discuss the outcomes of the review and make recommendations about whether the course is suitable for you, and identify additional support where required.
Successful completion will enable you to apply for our Diploma of Sport courses or apply for a range of degree courses in sport science or human movement.
