Upskill your knowledge and professional skills as a pharmacy technician with our hospital/health services pharmacy course.

If you are employed and provide technical support under a pharmacist’s supervision in a hospital setting, this health course is for you. Learn how to:

  • conduct small-scale compounding of general and aseptic pharmaceuticals
  • support pharmacists on the wards by collecting client information and test results
  • assist in dispensing administration

This course will equip you to effectively support pharmacists. You will:

  • reflect on, and improve, your own professional practice
  • learn to work with diverse clients and customers
  • understand how to facilitate learning in the workplace

Entry Requirements

You must be employed in a hospital pharmacy as a pharmacy technician.


To assist prospective students to determine whether a course is suitable and appropriate for the individual needs, Box Hill Institute will assess all students’ language, literacy and numeracy and digital literacy by asking you to undertake a self-assessment review prior to the enrolment.

A course advisor will discuss the outcomes of the review and make recommendations about whether the course is suitable for you, and identify additional support where required.
