This course describes the performance outcomes, skills and knowledge required to assist in the conduct of programs using independent elements or linked high ropes courses, which require the use of a belay system to keep participants safe.

This course develops the student’s skills and knowledge required to guide participants on Challenge Ropes Course – Conductor level. This course focuses on the application of planning skills to make suitable arrangements to conduct a group on a High Ropes Course.
The short course applies to those working as High Ropes Professionals who are responsible for planning, implementing and evaluating challenge Ropes Course – High Ropes Programs.
Students will have a focus on the demonstration of effective and efficient facilitation skills on a designated High Ropes Course. This applies to those working as High Ropes facilitators, guides or support staff under supervision in a range of controlled conditions.
Participants will gain their Skill Set – Challenge Ropes – High Ropes – Conductor Cluster enabling them to apply for accreditation and credit transfer to the Certificate III in Outdoor Recreation. Successful completion will support students stepping into a Cert 3 or 4 Outdoor Recreation qualifications as transferable units to their course. This course is particularly suitable for Scout Leaders and other Volunteer organisations that use High Ropes as a regular activity for participants.
