Diploma of Beauty Therapy (Specialising in Spa and Wellness)
If you’d like to work in a 5-star resort, day spa or beauty salon as a beauty therapist, our Beauty Therapy course is made for you.
In our beauty therapy course you’ll gain current beauty treatment knowledge and be guided in finding your own beauty speciality. While learning how to practice the ancient healing methods of hydrotherapy, aromatherapy and massage, you’ll advance your skills in performing traditional beauty therapy treatments incorporating a holistic approach, using a range of professional products and environmentally sustainable practices.
Plus, as part of our beauty therapy course, with guidance from our industry professional trainers you’ll improve your confidence with practical experience in our simulated day spa environment.

You must have completed Australian Year 11 or international equivalent with a pass
A minimum IELTS overall score of 5.5 (Academic). A minimum TOEFL score of 530 for paper examination; 179 for computer based and 71 for Internet based, or approved equivalent.

Full time : 12 months
To assist prospective students to determine whether a course is suitable and appropriate for the individual needs the Institute and CAE will assess all students’ language, literacy and numeracy and digital literacy by asking you to undertake a self-assessment review prior to the enrolment.
A course advisor will discuss the outcomes of the review and make recommendations about whether the course is suitable for you, and identify additional support where required.
Successful completion of our beauty therapy course will enable you to gain industry experience after, which you may apply for further studies in courses including the Bachelor of Health Sciences (Dermal Therapies) or the Diploma of Salon Management (SHB50216)
This course is government accredited and has national recognition
The qualification is aligned with the Australian Qualification Framework (AQF) level 5
After successful completion, you may wish to apply for employment opportunities in beauty salons, spa retreats, resorts and day spas
