During this health course, you'll learn how to implement general nursing care, assess client's health and analyse health-related information. You’ll also learn how to administer and monitor medications and attend to the needs of a range of healthcare clients, including older clients, acute care clients and people with mental health conditions. The course will assist you to develop effective communication skills and understand how to work within legal and ethical parameters in nursing.
You will complete a minimum of 400 hours of mandatory clinical placement in a range of healthcare settings across metropolitan, regional and rural areas.
After successful completion, you can apply for registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) as an enrolled nurse. Please see NMBA website for information about registration requirements and how to apply.
