Passionate about health, fitness, and leadership in sports or business?
If you are over 18 and have completed VCE, or want to enhance your career in sport, fitness, or business, this program is designed for you. Delivered mainly at iconic locations like the MCG and Waverley Park in partnership with Hawthorn College of Sport, this unique one year course offers dual qualifications:
- SIS50321 Diploma of Sport
- BSB50420 Diploma of Leadership and Management
Throughout the year, you’ll gain insights from top coaches, athletes, and senior staff in marketing, events, and management at the Hawthorn College of Sport, plus AFL and AFLW. Expect interactive presentations, guest speakers, excursions, and opportunities to participate in both Hawthorn and external events.
Classes include both on campus and online sessions, with additional hands on practice and coursework. You’ll also complete a 100 hour work immersion with the Hawthorn Football Club, providing firsthand experience across typical industry roles and giving you a practical edge.
Upon completion, you’ll be ready for a variety of job opportunities or well positioned to further your studies in fields like sport science, sports coaching, sports development, health sciences, or business at university.
This course is delivered through a partnership between Box Hill Institute and Hawthorn College of Sport.
