About the course

This electricians licence course is designed specifically for all Licensed Electricians (A) as part of the Continuing Professional Development (CPD) program developed in conjunction with Energy Safe Victoria.

The CPD training is to ensure electrical licence holders can maintain, broaden and enhance knowledge, skills and competence in the electrical industry.

This course must be completed two years prior to your licence renewal. For example, if your licence is due to expire on 13 August 2024, you can complete the CPD training any time between 13 August 2022 and 12 August 2024. Please refer to the ESV website for further details.

Enrolled students will undertake pre-learning activities online prior to attending a full day of face to face activities. You will receive a link to the online pre-learning activities that must be completed prior to commencing the face to face class.

Prerequisites


To enrol in this course you must hold a current electricians A class license.

Materials Required for class


Please ensure you come to class with the following:

  • multi meter/ volt meter
  • digital or analogue IRC tester
  • basic hand tools
  • LOTO kit for isolation/disconnect/reconnect
  • long pants
  • long sleeve top
  • enclosed foot wear
  • safety eye wear
  • electrical gloves (recommended)
  • bring own laptop or tablet
