Are you a dog owner who would love to groom your dog?

In four evening classes, you will learn: 

  • dog behaviour
  • how to bath and dry your dog
  • basic grooming products
  • basic clipping equipment
  • equipment maintenance

In the final session, students will combine the skills and knowledge gain throughout the course to complete a basic groom of their own pet.

Over four evening classes you will learn the skills to maintain your dogs coat and perform a basic groom. Each week, using your own dog you will learn the following skills:

  • safety in the grooming room
  • dog behavior 
  • hydrobathing 
  • drying 
  • brushing techniques 
  • grooming products 
  • equipment maintenance
  • basic clipping  
  • nail clipping 



You will be supplied with the resources needed for this class including all grooming products. 

You are required to bring your own dog to classes 2-4 to practice. 

Dog owners wishing to learn the skills to be able to maintain their dogs coat. 

You will be able to perform a basic groom of your own dog. This will include general upkeep of both long and short haired dogs.
