This applied alternative to Year 11 is designed to create an individual pathway for you to further studies in a variety of adult learning settings.
The mid-year VCAL offers an educational experience that includes applied work skills as well as job relevant literacy and numeracy skills.
VCAL, like VCE, is an accredited Senior Secondary Certificate that is recognised internationally as a successful completion of secondary education.
The mid-year VCAL program is at the Intermediate VCAL level only and offers 4 core units for study during Semester 2. It is most suitable for students who have decided to withdraw from Year 11 VCE or who wish to remain engaged in senior secondary education. The program provides a springboard into the full Senior VCAL Certificate including a second VET course option in 2021.
*This course is delivered face-to-face 3 days a week, unless COVID-19 government restrictions require remote delivery 3 days per week
