Box Hill Institute has won a Marketing Excellence Award at the Australian Marketing Institute Annual Awards for Marketing Excellence, held on 18 October 2017. Nominated for our Skill Seekers campaign, Box Hill Institute beat strong competition in the education category including Monash University, Deakin University, The University of Melbourne, UNSW Business School, University of Sydney and more.
Box Hill Institute’s marketing team partnered with agency Venus Education to develop a new brand position, creative concept, and strategy. The Skill Seekers campaign was launched in late 2016 and continued into 2017. The campaign promotes more than just the concept that skills can help get a job, it champions the notion that learning and developing skills can lead to an exciting career path, helping people achieve their dreams and live enriched lives.
The Education category recognises marketing campaigns that showcase effective use of marketing elements through research, brand development, planning and communications; demonstrate excellence in product and development; deliver educational marketing and strategy; and get a return on marketing expenditure.
The performance of the Skill Seeker campaign exceeded all expectations with digital performance exceeding the benchmark by 500%, organic website traffic growing by 25%, an increase of 20.5% in enrolments year on year, and a 40% increase on inbound leads.
