Box Hill teacher wins national mentoring award

Richard HomershamBox Hill Institute Business Enterprise Centre member and Business and Management teacher Richard Homersham has been awarded a prestigious award.

The ‘2015 National Business Enterprise Centre (BEC) Australia Awards for Performance’ were held at ETIHAD Stadium this week, where Richard won the ‘Best Metropolitan BEC Mentor/Advisor Award’.

Richard has been part of the Box Hill Institute Business Enterprise Centre since 2005 and has been a Box Hill Institute business and management teacher since 2008. He also has an extensive background in small business.

Richard has post graduate qualifications that make him an ideal and highly effective business mentor and advisor.  He has demonstrated excellence in his field over many years providing significant small business support and advice to numerous small business clients.

The BEC Australia Awards highlight the excellence that exists within the national BEC network and recognise:

  • Business Enterprise Centres, their management and staff whose business practices, innovation and core service delivery has realised outstanding outcomes and economic benefits to their local communities, and
  • Business Enterprise Centre advisors and/or mentors who have displayed innovation, empathy and sound business practices in their dealings with small business clients.
