New CEO for Box Hill Institute

2022-05-06

Current TAFE Gippsland Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Grant Radford, has been appointed the next CEO and Managing Director of Box Hill Institute (BHI).

Mr Radford will join the BHI Executive Leadership Team on Tuesday 21 June 2022.

BHI Board Chair Tracey Cooper welcomed Mr Radford.

“With Grant’s extensive experience in vocational education, we are confident his people-focused leadership and passion for quality education will strengthen Box Hill Institute’s position and take us into the future,” Ms Cooper said.

Grant Radford will join Box Hill Institute as CEO and Managing Director.

“Box Hill Institute is committed to providing students with award-winning education and training for the modern workforce and our Interim CEO and Managing Director, Laura Macpherson, will continue leading the organisation until Mr Radford transitions into the Melbourne-based role.”

Mr Radford’s departure was announced this week by TAFE Gippsland Board Chair, Mr Paul Buckley, PSM.

“Grant Radford has been inspirational in his stewardship of our Institute over four-plus years as he oversaw the biggest campus redevelopment program in our history,” Mr Buckley said.

“While we are sad to say farewell to Grant, we thank him sincerely for his passion and dedication to the CEO role; we know he will bring immense integrity and leadership skills to his new role at Box Hill Institute, and he goes with our heartfelt gratitude and our very best wishes.”

Mr Radford brings a wealth of leadership and vocational education sector experience to BHI, which was established in 1924 before transforming into one of the state’s leading providers of vocational education. After holding several leadership roles across the public sector, Mr Radford was Chief Operating Officer at Chisholm Institute for a decade until 2018.
