As a student, it’s not every day you get to try out your skills on the Prime Minister of Australia.
However, for Box Hill Institute Hospitality students, they easily nailed the brief thanks to the high quality of training they receive at our premiere, in-house training facility Fountains Restaurant.
Six of our students were chosen to deliver hospitality at a function in Ringwood this morning that was attended by the Prime Minister, the Federal Minister for Employment and other distinguished guests. You can read the Prime Minister’s doorstop interview here.
Mr Norman Gray, CEO of Box Hill Institute said, “At Box Hill Institute we equip our students with the skills and confidence they need to be work-ready. Our comprehensive Hospitality study pathways are complemented by our premiere training facility in Fountains Restaurant, which prepares students for situations they will ultimately face in the workforce.
“We often find students returning to Box Hill Institute to specialise further, or to expand their skill suite.”
Fountains Restaurant, which has produced some of Victoria’s leading chefs including George Calombaris, Guy Grossi, and Curtis Stone, is open to the public during term.
