Open Day Competition

Learn about the Terms & Conditions for the Open Day $150 Coles Myer gift card competition.

Competition Rules

  • The Competitions are made up of the Box Hill Institute Open Day Competition (“Box Hill Competition”) and the Box Hill Institute Lilydale Open Day and Community Festival Competition (“Lilydale Competition”) (together, “the Competitions”).
  • The Box Hill Competition and the Lilydale Competition will be conducted separately, and each will have a prize of one (1) Coles Myer voucher of a value of AUD$150.00.
  • The Competitions will be conducted and a prize will be awarded in accordance with these Competition Rules.
  • The Competitions are open to Australian residents.
  • Employees of Box Hill Institute (“We”), or their family members, or anyone else connected with the Competitions may not enter the Competitions.
  • By entering the Competition(s) You are accepting these Competition Rules.
  • If you have any questions on how to enter, please e-mail us at service@boxhill.edu.au with “Open Day Competition” in the subject line.
  • Only one entry per eligible person in each of the Box Hill Competition and Lilydale Competition is permitted. Multiple entries are not permitted.

    Box Hill Competition

    • To enter the Box Hill Competition, You must RSVP online at boxhill.edu.au/openday to attend the Box Hill Institute Open Day on Sunday 25 August 2019.
    • The Box Hill Competition will commence on 12 July 2019 and end on 25 August 2019. We must receive your entry to the Competition by 5:00 pm Australian Eastern Standard Time (AEST) on Sunday 25 August 2019. Entries received after this closing date will not be considered.
    • The prize for the Box Hill Competition will be drawn on 26 August 2019.
       

    Lilydale Competition

    • To enter the Lilydale Competition, You must RSVP online at boxhill.edu.au/openday to attend the Box Hill Institute Lilydale Community Festival and Open Day on Sunday 15 September 2019.
    • The Lilydale Competition will commence on 12 July 2019 and end on 15 September 2019. We must receive your entry to the Competition by 5:00 pm Australian Eastern Standard Time (AEST) on Sunday 15 September 2019. Entries received after this closing date will not be considered.
    • The prize for the Lilydale Competition will be drawn on 16 September 2019.
       

    The Prize

    • The prize consists of:
      • for the Box Hill Competition, one (1) Coles Myer gift voucher of a value of AUD$150.00.
      • for the Lilydale Competition, one (1) Coles Myer gift voucher of a value of AUD$150.00.
    • The prize consists of a voucher redeemable through a third party. Box Hill Institute excludes any liability for any voucher that has been lost, stolen, damaged or tampered with in any way. Redemption of each voucher is subject to the conditions imposed by the issuer of the voucher from time to time.
    • The prize cannot be exchanged or transferred by You and cannot be redeemed by You for cash or any other prizes.
    • We will substitute the prize with other prizes of similar value in the event that the original prize offered are not available. 

     

    Picking the Winner

    • The competition will be of pure chance and all entries will be placed into a random draw, with a separate draw for each of the Box Hill Competition and Lilydale Competition. The winners will be drawn at random.
    • The winners will be notified in writing by email and by phone.
    • The decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
      Once the prize has left Box Hill Institute's control, Box Hill Institute will not be liable for loss or damage to that prize.
    • Box Hill Institute may conduct such further draws as are necessary after the date that is three (3) months following the initial prize draw for an unclaimed prize. The winners of any unclaimed prize will be notified in by email and by telephone.
       

    Other Rules

    • Entries on behalf of another person will not be accepted.
    • We take no responsibility for entries that are lost, delayed, misdirected or incomplete or cannot be delivered or entered for any technical or other reason. Proof of delivery of the entry is not proof of receipt.
    • Entries are deemed to be received at the time of receipt by Box Hill Institute and not at the time of transmission by the entrant. Records of Box Hill Institute are final and conclusive as to the time of receipt.
    • Entries not completed correctly may be deemed invalid by Box Hill Institute in its absolute discretion.
    • No purchase is necessary.
    • Box Hill Institute requires your personal information in order to conduct the Competitions. If you do not provide the mandatory personal information requested then you will not be able to take part in the Competition(s). By entering this Competition(s), each entrant is taken to consent to Box Hill Institute using the entrant’s personal information to administer the Competitions, announce the winner and to other third parties as required by law.
    • Nothing in these Competition Rules shall exclude the liability of Box Hill Institute for death, personal injury, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation as a result of its negligence.
    • Box Hill Institute accepts no responsibility for any damage, loss, liabilities, injury or disappointment incurred or suffered by You as a result of entering the Competition(s) or accepting the prize. Box Hill Institute further disclaims liability for any injury or damage to You or any other person’s computer relating to or resulting from participation in or downloading any materials in connection with the Competition.
    • Box Hill Institutereserves the right at any time and from time to time to modify or discontinue, temporarily or permanently, these Competitions with or without prior notice due to reasons outside its control (including, without limitation, in the case of anticipated, suspected or actual fraud). The decision of Box Hill Institute in all matters under its control is final and binding.
    • Box Hill Institute shall not be liable for any failure to comply with its obligations where the failure is caused by something outside its reasonable control. Such circumstances shall include, but not be limited to, weather conditions, fire, flood, hurricane, strike, industrial dispute, war, hostilities, political unrest, riots, civil commotion, inevitable accidents, supervening legislation or any other circumstances amounting to force majeure.
    • The Competitions will be governed by the laws of the State of Victoria.
