Depending on your number of students, their interests and available time, we can create an excursion that matches and supports your needs. Our presentations can also reinforce key messages about the importance of study, work preparation and individual responsibility.
If you prefer, we can present at your school or attend your school event or careers evening.
Box Hill Institute is the leading vocational and higher education provider in Victoria. Your students can choose study options ranging from VETDSS, SBATs, VCAL and VCE through to higher education.
Vocational education and training delivered to secondary students (VETDSS) is an increasingly popular way for secondary students who are completing VCE or VCAL to gain practical skills in a specific industry.
While students complete a nationally recognised Certificate II or III, they attend classes at Box Hill Institute one afternoon a week (Monday or Wednesday) while they continue all of their other classes at school.
Students who wish to pair work experience with their nationally recognised Certificate III can use School Based Apprenticeships and Traineeships (SBATs). There is an increasing number of SBATs on offer, so please consult our SBAT guide for the latest information.
An alternative option for students in Years 10, 11 and 12 is the Victorian Certificate of Applied Learning (VCAL). This is an applied, hands-on equivalent program designed to create an individual pathway to employment or further studies.
Our foundation, intermediate and senior VCAL program can be paired with the certificates outlined below.
