FAQs

What is a pathway?

A pathway is like a stepping stone to further study or employment after you have successfully completed a course with Box Hill Institute. Once you finish your course, you can use the skills you’ve gained to go on to a more advanced course either with Box Hill Institute or with one of our university partners.

Why choose a university pathway?

Transitioning straight into university can be a scary thought with the challenge of a new style of learning, new faces, and a new level of study. A university pathway can ease this transition and recognition of prior learning schemes will allow you to receive credit for the study you have already completed. TAFE teaches you practical skills and the theory behind them, which often makes you better equipped to pursue further study at a university level.

What are the benefits of Box Hill Institute pathways?

Studying at Box Hill Institute and choosing a pathway into one of our university partners means you could save the time and money it takes to complete your university course by transitioning into the second year instead of starting in the first. At the completion of your university course, you will also have two qualifications, making you a valuable employee.

The practical skills you develop at Box Hill Institute will also give you an advantage over your fellow university students.
