The VDSS Certificate II in Building and Construction Pre-apprenticeship (Carpentry) program is designed to prepare you for a career in the building and construction industry, with a focus on carpentry.
The course covers:
- industry and workplace safety
- use of hand and power carpentry tools
- subfloor construction
- installation of window and door frames
- understanding workplace documents and plans
Completing the CPC training package units included in this Certificate II program will earn you 4 credits towards the Certificate III in Carpentry Apprenticeship.
Please note: Year 1 students must be assessed as Competent in VU23320 Identify and handle carpentry tools and equipment to enrol in Year 2.
