About the course

Are you wanting to work in the building and construction industry?

If so, it is mandatory that you hold 'Prepare to Work Safely In The Construction Industry' (otherwise known as a White Card) before you can enter any construction site.

During this 1 day program, you will cover topics including:

  • identify health and safety legislative requirements of construction work
  • identify construction hazards and risk control measures
  • identify health and safety communication and reporting processes
  • correctly select and fit common personal protective equipment (PPE) used for construction work

You will be required to attend the face to face delivery for the day and complete several assessment tasks in the classroom and on campus.

Correctly wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) is one required assessment task so if you have a hard hat, safety glasses, vest and hearing protection please bring these to the session. If you do not own these, then PPE will be provided for you.

Your 'White Card' will be issued by WorkSafe Victoria within 30 days of completing this course.
