Training & Education
The Biosecurity Centre delivers training designed in partnership with, and tailored to, industry needs. Training includes:
- Bachelor of Biosecurity Science. Australia’s only 3-year bachelor level course dedicated to biosecurity science
- Introduction to Biosecurity Science. This 13-week short course provides an introduction into biosecurity science and examines how policy, standards and risk management can help to minimise the biosecurity threat to agriculture, the environment, and communities
- Primary and Secondary School resources. Check out our award winning biosecurity resources for primary and secondary school students. Students are challenged to be a farmer and protect their crops from the threat of Queensland Fruit Fly through a fun and engaging set of on line activities
- Masterclasses. Masterclasses bring in subject matter experts to lead an interactive discussion with community and industry about current events or industry challenges. Masterclasses are recorded and are available as an industry resource.
