Your graduation ceremony is an exciting time that celebrates the completion of your qualification and welcomes you into the alumni community. Find information below on graduation dates, invitations and preparing for your ceremony.
Graduation is a great time to celebrate and reflect on what you have achieved, sharing this important milestone with classmates, teachers, family and friends. Only students eligible to graduate will be contacted via email and invited to purchase a ticket.

The 2020 ceremony will be held on Tuesday 14 April.
All eligible students will be contacted and invited to purchase a ticket to attend plus a ticket/s for any guests (family and friends) that you wish to bring along to the ceremony.
The graduation ceremonies will be held at the Goldfields Theatre, Melbourne Convention Centre.

Students who have completed two courses will graduate with their highest qualification, e.g. If a student has completed a Certificate IV and a Diploma, they will receive a certificate for their Diploma at graduation.

Tickets can be purchased via a link which will be emailed to each eligible student in February/March 2020. If you have not received the email by Tuesday 10 March, please contact your course coordinator to check your eligibility. Also, be sure to check your junk mail.
Students are required to select the ‘Graduate/Student’ ticket and enter their full name to ensure that their details are captured to receive their certificate.
Tickets cost $40 per graduate and $50 per guest. Children under 12 are free. One graduate can bring up to 4 guests.

Graduands will be assigned seating upon registration. All graduates must adhere to their allocated seat, which links directly to the order students will be announced on stage.
All guests (family and friends) have non-allocated seating within the theatre. Accessible seating is available

As part of your ticket purchase, you will be asked to select your gown size and where applicable, the size required for your mortarboard.
The dress code is smart, neat or professional clothing. Shorts, jeans, t-shirts, thongs, bare feet or joggers are not considered appropriate.
All graduands are required to wear academic regalia. The regalia is a little heavy, so remove suit jackets or any heavy layers before your robe fitting.
Once the ceremony has finished, all academic dress needs to be returned to the registration area. Those who do not return regalia within an hour of the ceremony finishing will be invoiced for the full cost of the outfit.

Arriving by taxi: Drop off points are at 1 Convention Centre Place or 2 Clarendon Street, South Wharf.
Arriving by tram: Tram numbers 96, 109 and 112 travel along Spencer/Clarendon Streets and stop opposite the Clarendon Street entrance of the Melbourne Exhibition Centre. Tram numbers 48 and 70 stop at the end of Flinders Street. Walk towards the Yarra River, across the new pedestrian bridge.
Arriving by train: Take the train to Southern Cross Station. Tram numbers 96, 109 and 112 travel past Southern Cross Station down Spencer/Clarendon Streets and stop opposite the Melbourne Exhibition Centre. www.metlinkmelbourne.com.au
Arriving on foot: Pedestrian access is along Southbank or across the new pedestrian bridge.
Arriving by car / parking: Parking is available at the Melbourne Exhibition Centre and adjacent car parks.
Key timings for your specific ceremony will be emailed to you along with your link to purchase tickets.
Your invitation will specify which ceremony as this is determined on your area of study.
We ask graduates to arrive at least two hours before their graduation ceremony, to allow for pre-ceremony registration, regalia fittings and photographs.
Please be advised, if you don’t arrive in time, you won’t be allowed to take part in the ceremony. The registration desk will close 30 minutes before the ceremony begins.
Graduates need to be seated in their allocated seats at least 45 minutes before the ceremony starts.
Please, plan your journey and remember to allow time for possible traffic delays or to find parking.
Reed Graduations are our official graduation photographers. All graduates and their guests can purchase photos directly from Reed. Reed will also capture stage photography (photos of graduates receiving their certificate).
Graduates are asked to pre-book photos (discounts available on pre-booking) and visit Reed staff on at the graduation ceremony.
