Box Hill Institute Partners With APS Industrial

2021-03-24

Box Hill Institute has entered into an agreement with APS Industrial for the sponsorship of various resources for training through to the installation of product displays and demonstration kits, which will greatly benefit electrotechnology students.

Box Hill Institute CEO, Vivienne King, said, “This partnership is a wonderful opportunity for our students as APS Industrial provides the very best low and medium voltage electrical and automation products, so our students will have access to cutting edge equipment.

“Our students will also have the opportunity to learn from APS Industrial employees who can impart their knowledge of the equipment but also of industry trends and developments. They will have exclusive access to API’s leaders, masterclasses and interactive learning platforms to develop their skills and enhance their educational experience,” she said.

APS Industrial was formed in 2018 incorporating the established businesses of Ramelec Pty Ltd and HiTech Control Systems Pty Ltd who shared in over 20 years servicing the electrical needs of Australian customers. They work with Siemens, Rittal, Weidmüller, Belden, EPCOS / TDK and KATKO.

APS Industrial Managing Director, David Hegarty, said, “We have worked very closely with Box Hill Institute throughout 2020 to navigate the ways in which we can best support the Apprenticeship Training Programs. We are fully aware of role we play in supporting training providers such as Box Hill Institute and we are extremely excited to announce this partnership.”

Box Hill Institute offers a range of electrical courses from a Certificate II in Electrotechnology (Prevocational) and Certificate III in Air-conditioning and Heat Pump Systems to a Certificate III in Security Equipment and Certificate IV in Integrated Technologies. The jobs outlook for electricians is forecast for moderate growth and their weekly income is above average.
