Chinese Students Smell the Coffee

A group of students from Guizhou Education University (GEU), China recently came to Box Hill Institute for a study tour.

GEU selected Box Hill Institute's commerce and hospitality management team to provide its students with learning experiences in Australia.

The program involves studying English in the morning and attending an entrepreneurship and innovation workshop in the afternoon at our city campus.

One of the activities for their entrepreneurship and innovation workshop was a city excursion focussing on the Melbourne café culture.

The purpose of the excursion was to provide students with an understanding of café businesses around the city, to demonstrate how café entrepreneurs have enhanced the growth of their businesses, and how Melbourne has created a café culture.

The students enjoyed the excursion, which involved walking around the CBD and taking in the characteristics that have formed Melbourne's famous coffee and café culture.
