A high-level music intensive for students wanting to fast track their careers and boost their skills

Magnify Winter Music Camp 2024

Skills Intensive / Music Skills Workshop

Magnify is a high-level music intensive for students wanting to fast track their careers and boost their skills. Meet other high school musicians (aged 14-18) and take part in this unique music camp where you will develop the real-world skills you’ll need in your music career.

Across daily tutorials, workshops and collaborative sessions students will develop skills in song writing and composition, improvisation and arranging. Students will record a real studio session in Sing Sing East and take part in workshops in social media and online marketing to promote their music. At the end of the week, you will take home a professional recording of your own music, and perform it live at The Venue.

FAQs

Back

Is this a sleepover camp?

No, this is a day-camp. The hours are 9.30am-4pm Monday-Thursday and 9.30-7pm on Friday. We cannot provide accommodation for our students.

Do I need to bring my own instrument?

Yes! If it is reasonable to do so, please bring your instrument. If you are a guitarist or bass player, bring your instrument and also bring a lead. Drummers, please bring your cymbals, drum key and hihat clutch. We encourage vocalists to bring their own microphones, although you can use ours if you don’t have one.

We have full backline for all rehearsals and performances (guitar amps, bass amps, pianos, keyboards and drum kits).

If you don’t want to transport your instrument back and forth every day, we can safely lock it up on campus throughout the week.

How do I get a ticket for the concert?

The concert is not a ticketed event – all family and friends are welcome. Doors open at 5.30 with a 6pm concert start time. It usually finishes around 7pm.
