The Department of Education and Training has clarified TAFEs as an essential service, which is why we are keeping our doors open. During the term break, we continue to develop our digital or remote course delivery models to ensure continuity of study and maintain the quality of course content. Thank you for your patience and your adoption of these alternative delivery methods.
While we remain open during the term break, we must continue to take the health advice around hand washing and social distancing seriously. Box Hill Institute cannot overstate the importance of social distancing in the prevention of contracting coronavirus. This means ensuring there is a 1.5m distance between you and other people at all times.
There is hand sanitiser placed around campus and we are undertaking enhanced cleaning and sanitising of all buildings to further protect students, employees, and stakeholders in high-traffic areas. This includes a focus on touch points such as handles, elevator buttons, light switches, railings, and table tops.
The coronavirus response is evolving all the time and we’re monitoring the official advice we’ve been given. Changes will continue for some time and we will update you regularly on what’s happening.
