As per Victorian Government guidelines, from Monday 18 July 2022, students no longer need to be vaccinated to attend Box Hill campuses and will no longer be required to show evidence of their vaccination status. PRE-TRAINING REVIEW - to assist prospective students to determine whether a course is suitable and appropriate for the individual needs, Box Hill Institute will assess all students’ language, literacy and numeracy and digital literacy by asking you to undertake a self-assessment review prior to the enrolment. A course advisor will discuss the outcomes of the review and make recommendations about whether the course is suitable for you, and identify additional support where required.
Successful completion of this Certificate III course can provide a pathway through to the Certificate IV in Education Support.

You will need to complete 15 units.
To be assessed as competent in this qualification you are required to undertake a minimum 100 hours supervised work placement in a school (primary or secondary) environment. Where students are already employed as an ESW, placement can be completed as part of your employment hours. If not employed, a school will be sourced for you for work placement.
Evidence provided by a workplace supervisor will contribute to assessment of your ability to work at this level.
This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to work respectfully with people from diverse social and cultural groups and situations, including Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people.
This unit applies to all workers.
